Lori Kangas-Olson, Community Development Manager, sees opportunities to make connections and to build up strength in communities. She uses her experiential learning skills to bring creative adult education experiences that include basket weaving, fiber arts, and reflective stitching. She believes that life is learning, lifelong learners are eminent, and the imitations of life in art are mutually inclusive.

Ashley Craiglow

Ashley Craiglow, Program Specialist, assists grantees to find creative solutions for transportation barriers and to research different funding options to overcome these barriers. Her focus is on rural transportation in the Arrowhead Region. She hopes to help develop ways to increase interest in transportation careers to increase the transportation workforce. Ashley’s passion is community. She believes in and works with the people of her community.

Brenda Shafer-Pellinen

Brenda Shafer-Pellinen, ElderCare Development Specialist, makes a positive impact in the lives of older adults by creating opportunities and programs that foster connection and support. As a seasoned professional in this field, she constantly seeks ways to connect with new partners who are committed to creating communities for a lifetime and making sure older adults feel valued and connected.
